IM BACK!!!
I’m back in the islands!
I arrived from Canada last Tuesday evening and of course, as any typical Filipino would do, I compared our country to where I came from… It started with the waiting of the baggages… almost an hour of waiting?? Yup! I’m back in the Philippines!
Anyway, before I start freaking around with our poor country, let me start changing the topic…
Canada… Wow. That’s all I can say…
It was quiet an experience traveling around the maple leaf country. It felt really different starting out with the air… it smelled… clean! The weather? Perfect! I love it!
We started our leg of the tour doing promo in Toronto; visiting the sponsors of the concert and other Filipino establishments. It was quite tiring but what the heck! I’m in Canada! But of course, all work and no play makes… ah darn! We just had to visit the Niagara Falls! At first, I said “…but I’ve seen that on TV and I’m sure it just looks the same! And besides, it’s 2 hours away…” Brat! You know me, I hate long rides… but when I got there… WHOA!!! It’s Niagara Falls! I was so overwhelming! It’s huge! Oh well, it was well worth it!
Okay, after promo in Toronto, we flew to Winnipeg to do the first concert…
It was awesome! The Filipinos there were so appreciative and I enjoyed every bit with them! I was even surprised with my performance! I blabbed the night away cracking jokes and getting reactions from the audience! Good job! (pat on the back) <crazy boy>
The next day, we flew back to Toronto to do the Toronto concert…
Then came my most favorite place… the last leg of the tour… Calgary.
I just looooovvveee the place!
We performed at the Jack Singer Concert Hall and the place was huge! Talk about 5 stories high! It seemed like the people seated at the 5th floor would fall off!
There’s this place that I instantly fell in love with… Banff. It’s an hour and a half trip from Calgary.. (yeah, yeah… a long drive but I didn’t complain this time…) The place is breathtaking! We went to Lake Louise and the scene was surreal! It’s a lake surrounded by mountains with snow caps! Phew! We also went to the Bow Falls and this castle inspired hotel on top of the mountain! I felt like I was in Hogwarts! Gosh! And to top things off, it was oh-so cold! Oh well… the details of the experience is difficult to put in words but all I can say is that it’s my most memorable trip ever!
I’m going back! |
